I retired April Fool's Day, which I felt appropriate considering my personality. As soon as I retired, my Father received bad news about his prostate cancer. It had been in remission for 15 years but was now loose and spreading everywhere. He died in one month. I have spent the ppast few months settling the estate, etc. I was used to having people babbling at me all day long and now there is silence. Some silence is good, some boooooring. So, I've decided to give this a try while I continue to try to move my things to my Dad's (paid off) house and some of his stuff to my unpaid for house and then sell that house. Sounds exhausting doesn't it? The fun thing is finding my old 8-tracks and LPs, old pictures, old school papers and all sorts of things I thought I'd lost forever. Of course, winnowing out the dross is hard.....maybe it would be better to just toss without looking. Oh well, more later.
