Fires....

I believe I read today or yesterday, somewhere, that one of our "Ivory Tower" leftists thinks we should sit down and discuss forest fires and ways to prevent them as opposed to rushing willy-nilly to put them out. This was contained in a letter to the Editor saying that firemen are not heroes, just "doing what they are paid for." He went on to say that firemen have a pretty good life anyway with their hours and down time. Now, clearly, this person is an idiot who has never had to risk his life more than crossing the street. He probably has a 3.2 Million dollar house with all sorts of intellectual ornaments and decor.....wonder how he would feel if his house caught fire and the firemen were a little late.

That is so much the problem with our intellectually elite Left, they seldom have to deal with any of the problems real people face day after day. Taxes up, no problem, they have money/loopholes. School choice, no issue, their kids go to private schools. Eminent domain, no problem, no one is going to take their property. Walmart, bad, Saks, good. And, we could go on infinitum. The answer to major problems, form a team and discuss, discuss, discuss....anything but take action.
